Jason Moorhouse calls for introduction of 12-sided pound
The Isle of Man needs to introduce the 12-sided pound coin to reduce the chances of counterfeiting.
That's the view of one MHK, who's seeking an update on the future of the Island's pound coin designs at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
The Treasury recently confirmed it has no immediate plans to bring in the newer-style coins, which were introduced in the UK in 2017.
However, Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Jason Moorhouse is concerned Manx coins are too easy to copy at present.
