Lawrie Hooper quizzed minister on future of Cummal Mooar this week
A Ramsey MHK says he is confident a replacement for Cummal Mooar residential home is on the way, despite a ten-year hiatus.
Lawrie Hooper says he was happy with the answer given to him by Health Minister Claire Christian to a question in The House of Keys on the matter this week.
The facility looked set to close in August 2023 but this was put on hold and this time last year DHSC said it was working with Manx Care to ensure the design of a new building is fit for purpose.
Mr Hooper was optimistic about progress despite it being fifth on a list of planned developments:
