Price hike of 58% 'in line' with government costs
The substantial hike in the fee for planning appeals has been defended by the chair of the planning committee.
Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker is a political member of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
He says the costs of appealing planning decisions, increasing by 58%, is in line with the costs of government.
And Mr Baker says it won't affect as many people as you might think:
"When you're delivering healthcare on an island, your costs are going to be higher"
