Ann Corlett says how a motion is written on paper doesn't always reflect its intent
The MHK behind calls for more 20mph zones in residential areas says there can be a disconnect between what's debated in Tynwald and the action government takes.
Douglas Central member Ann Corlett has twice secured backing in the Island's parliament for 20mph to be the default speed limit in residential areas, with a focus on roads around schools.
The Department of Infrastructure has since launched a consultation on plans to implement the speed limit on a number of the Island's roads.
Mrs Corlett told Manx Radio the intent of a motion isn't always realised:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
