The Manor is set to cease trading this weekend

A Douglas North MHK is hopeful that someone will step in and save the Manor pub in Willaston from becoming another derelict site in the capital.

The popular local institution will close its doors this Saturday (24 October) at the conclusion of its tenure under Heron & Brearley.

It has operated in the area for over seven decades, but its eventual future is now unclear.

Damien Ciappelli says whilst the 'hearts of our communities are changing', we need to keep the places that promote 'social cohesion and wellbeing':

To mark its final night, the Manor Pub is to host an Oktoberfest-themed farewell night, starting from 8pm on its final day of trading.

The event is free but ticketed, and is now sold out.

Those who want a ticket but have missed out are asked to send the pub a message on Facebook to be put on a reserved list.

Both bars are ticket only on the day.
