Ashford highlights lack of 'cohesive plan' by DESC
A Douglas North MHK has criticised a government department for not having a ‘cohesive plan’ for the future of the Villa Gaiety complex.
In Tynwald this week David Ashford queried whether the Department of Education, Sport and Culture should be running it at all.
Despite his concerns the Department Plan for 2022/2023 was passed unanimously by Tynwald.
But Mr Ashford questioned whether the entertainment facility could become a 'poor relation':
