Reduction will encourage women to travel to UK
An MHK says he's yet to hear any medical arguments in support of reducing time limits in which women can have a termination on the Island.
Speaking in the House of Keys this morning during the clauses stage of the Abortion Reform Bill, Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper argued it doesn't make any sense to lower the time limit down from 24 weeks.
Mr Hooper argues that any reduction will just encourage some women to travel to the UK for the procedure.
