Hooper concerned by recent Flybe uncertainty
Uncertain times for Flybe have highlighted the risk of relying on one provider for Island patient transfers.
That's the concern of Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper, who's set to question the health and social care minister in Tynwald next week (Tuesday, 21 January).
The regional airline has now agreed a payment plan with HM Revenue and Customs, for "less than £10m".
Mr Hooper says despite this agreement, the situation has drawn attention to a flaw in the current system:
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford says the situation is under control:

Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
Nursery group wants to 'bridge the gap' for families of two-year-olds
Orchestra hoping to attract 'different kind of audience' at next concert
Planning Committee says temporary dental unit at hospital is 'government failure'
