One of the Island’s longest serving MHKs says he was ready to quit after one term – but was then re-elected!
Onchan member Peter Karran has announced he'll stand down this Autumn after 31 years in Manx politics.
Over the decades, he's won six general elections and one by-election.
Mr Karran admits he was surprised by events in 1991 when he topped the poll for a second time.
