Committee to investigate accommodation for vulnerable young people
An MHK has told Tynwald he was "one of the few in the chamber" to have had first hand experience of the care system on the Island.
Rob Callister was speaking during a debate this morning (Wed 21 Nov) on motion from Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker, calling for a select committee to be established to investigate and report on the provision of accommodation for vulnerable young people on the Island.
Mr Callister said he could directly relate to a lot of what Mr Baker had said in his opening statement.
The motion was unanimously approved and appointed Tim Baker, Kerry Sharpe MLC and Mr Callister himself to the committee.
