Bishop would still retain membership of Tynwald and LegCo
The House of Keys has taken another step towards potentially stripping the bishop of their vote in Tynwald.
MHKs have voted for Ramsey politician Lawrie Hooper to be given leave to introduce a bill which, if successful, would also mean the head of the Manx church wouldn't have a say in the Legislative Council.
The issue was last debated, extensively, in Tynwald in June.
Ahead of today's debate, Mr Hooper implored MHKs not to rehash their previous arguments:
Thirteen MHKs voted for the move with 11 voting against.
