DoI says it's currently working with 'industry stakeholders'
The Department of Infrastructure is working with ‘industry stakeholders’ to determine the most effective way to dispose of electric vehicles.
Minister Tim Crookall says ongoing discussions are being had between government departments and businesses like Mezeron and the Steam Packet Company.
He told the House of Keys last week that there are a small number of vehicles currently being stored which need disposing of as the process to take them off-Island is lengthy.
But Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper was concerned that there was no real strategy in place:
