'Food for thought' in abortion debate
An unsual committee-style sitting of the House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday) saw a panel of off-Island experts give their views on proposed changes to abortion laws.
Chris Robertshaw MHK said the session allowed members the opportunity to grapple with the details of Dr Alex Allinson's Abortion Reform Bill 2018.
Last month, Mr Robertshaw's motion to have the legislation investigated by a select committee was defeated.
Yesterday, Labour peer Lord Brennan QC suggested the Island was going 'beyond the UK' with its attempts at reform.
