Deadline for responding to consultation is 27 March
A Glenfaba and Peel MHK is trying to rally as many residents as possible to submit their feelings about the modified Draft Area Plan for the North and West of the Island.
The plan will only come into effect if it is adopted by the Cabinet Office and subsequently approved by Tynwald.
It hopes to:
- Build better communities
- Support health and well-being goals
- Support a vibrant economy
- Protect the environment
- Support the delivery of 'Our Island Plan'
- The inspector’s report, along with other documents and information from the inquiry, is available HERE.
Kate Lord-Brennan held a meeting last night informing people how they could respond to the consultation - which closes 27 March.
She told the packed hall 'the time is now':
These residents Sylvia and Sharon echoed what Ms Lord-Brennan was saying around concerns of housing, the lack of infrastructure and sustainable urban extension:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
