Amendment calls for 2016 report into whole coastline
The MHK for Michael has expressed dismay that his motion to implement coastal protection measures at Kirk Michael wasn't backed by Tynwald members.
The issue was debated on Wednesday evening, but eventually the court supported an amendment from Onchan MHK Peter Karran.
This will see a report into the whole Island's coastline next year, with no specific reference to the North west coast - which is thought to be eroding at a rate of up to a metre per year.
