UK team to stay on Island overnight, but will be isolating
A site closed off at the weekend following the discovery of suspected unexploded ordnance has now reopened after the item was destroyed by a bomb disposal unit.
Middle Farm Industrial Estate near the Energy From Waste Plant was shut on Sunday afternoon after what was thought to be dormant ordnance was spotted.
The item was found not to be as first thought, but it has been removed and destroyed by specialists from the UK.
The team from off Island will remain on the Isle of Man overnight before leaving tomorrow morning, but police say they will be isolating and complying with Manx Covid restrictions.
