Attributed to several babies requiring special care
Midwives on the Isle of Man are 'incredibly busy' but there are no issues being reported within the maternity service.
That's from the chief executive of Manx Care who's attributed it to a higher number of babies requiring special care than normal.
Manx Radio was contacted by a listener who claimed their stepdaughter was turned away from the Jane Crookall unit as there were no beds available.
However, Teresa Cope says she is confident there isn't a problem:
