Daytime works won’t impact road users
The swing bridge in Douglas harbour will be closed to both cars and pedestrians every night next week.
It's so the upstream bridge cylinder can be removed from its mounting and a new one installed.
The original cylinder will then be sent to a specialist firm for refurbishment.
The Millennium Bridge will be shut nightly from 8pm until 4am from next Monday for up to a week.
Daytime works will also be undertaken but these won’t impact road users.
