Rate would rise to £8.25, if approved by Tynwald
Tynwald will be asked to approve a 40p increase to the minimum wage at this month's sitting.
If given to go-ahead, workers aged over 18 would earn £8.25 per hour.
The Minimum Wage Committee's annual report recommends an increase from £7.85, making it slightly higher than the UK's Living Wage.
Young workers who have left school but are still under 18 would see their minimum wage rise from £5.85 to £6.15.
There's also a proposed 35p increase for development workers, with that rate set to rise from £6.95 to £7.30.
The reports will be put before Tynwald later this month, and if approved would come into force from 1 October.
