Hooper makes statement on recently announced Manx Care cuts
The Department of Health and Social Care has expressed 'real concerns' about recent pressures to the health service, describing the past few months as 'very intense'.
Manx Care has been instructed by the government to remain within budget, leading to various cost-saving measures, including cuts to frontline services.
Health Minister Lawrie Hooper insists healthcare is underfunded and doubts that the service cuts will be made up in the future.
However, he says his options are limited:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
