Emergency question filed ahead of Keys sitting
The Health Minister is to be asked for an explanation over the scrapping of funding for Meals on Wheels for 300 older residents.
Onchan MHK Rob Callister has tabled an emergency question for the House of Keys sitting this Tuesday, after it was announced that the DHSC will no longer pay Age Concern to supply the home deliveries.
There has been no indication whether government will continue to facilitate the service through another means.
Age Concern fears it puts users at risk of isolation and malnourishment.
Mr Callister says he was 'surprised' to hear the news:
Abuse towards bus drivers 'will not be tolerated'
Mountain Road closed due to snow and ice
Majority of rates going up for residents across the Island
Island resident believes he has Archibald Knox's pet cat
