Juan Watterson says upgraded communications will start in September
"In budget and on schedule".
That's according to the Home Affairs minister who says the upgraded Tetra Communications system will be in use in September.
The network provides secure communications for the emergency services.
Juan Watterson says the procurement process used "is an example of how Home Affairs is taking a lead in breaking down silos to deliver" savings to the taxpayer.
Mr Watterson says people shouldn't see any change when the new system comes in:
