Seven going through courts after ANPR catches 449 without vehicle licence
The Infrastructure Minister says he's in favour of stronger penalties for those caught without valid car tax.
ANPR cameras operated by the Department of Infrastructure identified 449 drivers on Manx roads without an up to date vehicle licence in 2020.
Letters are sent to those found to be without a valid tax disc, while Tim Baker says seven people are currently going through the courts.
He insists it's not acceptable for drivers to avoid paying tax:
