Admits timing was wrong to bring forward changes
The infrastructure minister has admitted now is not the right time to impose changes to vehicle duty.
Tim Baker says he should have waited for a ‘more suitable time’ to release details about the Vehicle Duty Order 2021 and put it before Tynwald.
It’s now been postponed until later this year.
Mr Baker says it’s clear from public reaction that work needs to be done on the proposals in the interim:
