
Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Graham Cregeen says his department is facing an overspend because it hasn’t introduced bendy buses or a new ticketing system.
He faced questions from Michael MHK Alfred Cannan in the House of Keys about a projected £500,000 deficit.
Mr Cregeen said he’d expected to save money by bringing the new vehicles to the Island and installing the new system for dispensing tickets – neither of which has gone ahead.
But he was quick to respond to accusations the trial of articulated buses had been a waste of time and money:
