The Home Affairs Minister has promised the war memorial in Ramsey will be protected - but maintains that its grounds are up for sale.
There's been widespread condemnation of government's decision to sell the town's historic courthouse building, where the monument is located.
Bill Malarkey faced questions in Tynwald this morning over the sale - but insisted no decision has been made yet.
