Eddie Teare speaks about threats to family
The end of a long and tortuous journey.
That’s how the Treasury Minister has described the last 18 months during which he and his family had to significantly increase security at their home.
Douglas man John James Corran was yesterday (Tuesday) given a suspended sentence after sending threatening letters to Eddie Teare.
Corran took action because he was unhappy with government’s plans to cut benefits in a bid to encourage people back into work.
Mr Teare says he had no choice but to contact police.
