Daphne Caine defends newspaper article calling for it to be changed
A Government Minister says there must be a debate surrounding the triple-lock safeguard on pensions.
Education Minister Daphne Caine says the system has been effective in the past, but now thinks a debate needs to take place about how best to afford Manx pension requirements in the future.
The treasury minister has insisted the scheme isn't being scrapped, as it will still apply to anyone who retired before 5 April 2019.
Mrs Caine says what's currently on offer is an unsustainable number:
