Study on transfers to be undertaken
The health and social care minister is seeking a review of who needs to travel off-Island for medical care.
Kate Beecroft says it will be carried out to see what kind of practices - from consultations to major surgical procedures - could feasibly be undertaken on Manx soil instead.
She's been speaking after confirming waiting times for procedures will be published by the end of this month.
Mrs Beecroft says she wants unnecessary trips across for patients to be eventually done away with.
