Two call-outs within an hour

All units were stood down shortly before midnight, despite no one being found.
The coastguard says it believes it was a responding to a call with 'good intent' but ultimately false.
There was another call out for Douglas lifeboat at 11.48pm to go to the aid of a lone yachtsman.
He had been making his way to Douglas when he slipped and fell, injuring his shoulder. The accident left the man unable to use the sails and he then discovered his engine wouldn't start.
The lifeboat reached the yacht just after 12.30am and the vessel and crewman were was towed to safety.
