Bespoke service for sexual assault victims will be Island first
August is a welcome target to have a Sexual Assault Referral Centre up and running on the Island, but there's a lot to do from now until then.
That's from MLC Tanya August-Hanson who's been calling for the creation of such a facility to be accelerated for some time.
The service will be the Island's first bespoke centre to treat and support adults and children who've experienced a sexual assault or rape.
Ms August-Hanson says it's important to get it right:
Mountain Road to stay closed overnight
BMA finds less than a quarter of doctors recommend working at Manx Care
Thirteen people entered or tried to enter the Island without immigration permission since January 2025
Abuse towards bus drivers 'will not be tolerated'
