Attorney General raised concerns about impact of proposal
An MLC insists the Legislative Council had to reject an amendment due to concerns from the Attorney General.
LegCo voted against Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper's proposed alteration to the Charities Registration and Regulation Bill at this week's sitting.
Mr Hooper was critical of the decision, telling Manx Radio it's not the Council's job to make policy decisions.
However, Bill Henderson says Members had a duty to consider the negative effects of the amendment:
