August-Hanson 'better off' challenging the board from outside
The vice-chair of the Isle of Man Post Office board, Tanya August-Hanson MLC, has resigned from the role.
It follows what she describes as a 'disparity' between the Post Office Retail Strategy approved in Tynwald last year, and the practical roll-out of it.
It's been a turbulent 18 months or so for the post office, with a public backlash over sub-post office closures and staff striking over planned changes to their terms and conditions.
Ms August-Hanson says she feels it's the right time to step aside:
