'Slow turnover' of council homes a concern
An MLC says he's "very disappointed" Douglas council has refused to answer questions about vacant public housing.
Mr Cretney wrote to the authority in October on behalf of those waiting for a council house - asking why turnover is "slow".
He wanted to know how many void properties the council has on its books, and on which estates, and for a comparison with 3, 6 and 12 months ago.
The council refused to answer in detail, but said the waiting list has reduced since a peak in January this year.
Mr Cretney says he has no option but to raise his questions in Tynwald.
