Bill Henderson thinks status quo is too lenient
It's 'high time' to review the sentencing regime on the Island.
That's according to MLC Bill Henderson who will question the infrastructure minister at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
He wants to know what the maximum sentence is for a driver who, through an act of dangerous driving, kills another person.
He will also question if there are any plans to review this.
Mr Henderson told Manx Radio he's always been a firm believer that deaths caused by dangerous driving seemed to be treated more leniently and he believes the sentence must fit the crime:
