A member of the Legislative Council believes if more people with disabilities were part of government change would be happening 'a lot more rapidly'.
Kerry Sharpe alongside MLC Dawn Kinnish and MHK Sarah Maltby will be hosting a workshop to discuss why people with disabilities don't take up politics.
Mrs Sharpe told Manx Radio she'd like to know what barriers stop people with disabilities from entering politics and what essential changes would need to be made towards accessibility:
