Murray Cringle says few farmers enter the sector unless they have a family connection
The president of the Manx National Farmers Union says he's worried about the costs facing the next generation.
Murray Cringle fears the expense of getting started in the agriculture sector can be a barrier to newcomers.
He told Manx Radio the majority of younger farmers enter the industry due to family ties.
But he says rising costs are a concern:
