Service stopped due to financial constraints
Manx National Heritage has expressed its disappointment at the loss of the Douglas Horse Tramway.
The trams have been part of the Island's cultural anatomy since 1876, but the decision was taken to end the service yesterday due to financial constraints.
MNH is hopeful that the historic facility can one day be revived, and says it's committed to looking for a solution.
But Director Edmund Southworth said it's an unfortunate reality:
