Elite breed of sports cars hit Manx roads
Mono Mania has hit the Island - as millions of pounds worth of supercars take to Manx roads in a special four-day event from today (12 May).
Liverpool-based Briggs Automotive Company is hosting the event for BAC Mono owners - who've paid around £125,000 apiece for their sports cars from the duo.
The 12 road-legal, single-seater 2.5 litre cars represent 10 countries around the world - they're owned by 20 clients, some based here, and reach top speeds of 170 miles per hour.
The cars and drivers are making the Jurby race circuit their playground today.
Tomorrow, drivers will put their foot down on de restricted TT tarmac (13 May), while several roads in the south of the Island will be closed.
They are the A 36 Sloc and Shoulder Road from Scard Farm to the Round Table crossroads, from 9am - 2pm.
Castletown Market Square will be closed from noon - 3pm for a vehicle display.
