MHK to ask if government has considered the measure
An MHK wants to know if government would consider asking all Island-based companies to contribute to a 'social fund' for use on projects that benefit the Manx community.
In the House of Keys tomorrow (Tues 23) Jason Moorhouse will put this proposal to Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly.
He says many companies contribute to Island life through socially beneficial initiatives, but others have a minimal impact.
The Arbory, Castletown and Malew member is concerned some businesses don't demonstrate enough value to the greater Manx public:
