Man living with condition speaks out
A man born with a rare neuromuscular disease is hoping to raise more awareness of it.
Michael Eaton was diagnosed with Becker muscular dystrophy - a muscle wasting condition that causing muscles to weaken.
He is hopeful that by speaking about what's it like living with the condition, he can help raise awareness on behalf of others who are suffering in silence.
He told Manx Radio at times it can feel as though there is limited support available on Island:
Next week Mr Eaton along with four others will take on the Great North Run with the aim of raising more awareness for the disease.
