More direct summer flights on sale

Islanders can go straight to Mediterranean and Portugal 

Direct flights from the Isle of Man to the Mediterranean and Portugal will be available next summer.

FlyDirect will offer weekly flights to Palma, Malaga and Faro between May and October.

It’s expecting to carry more than 5,000 passengers during this time.

It’s the sixth year the service has been offered for residents living on the Isle of Man; 16,500 people have travelled direct so far.  

Alexander Devlin, C. I. Travel Group’s Director, said: “Isle of Man residents have long appreciated the convenience of direct flights which mean there is no need to travel through a U.K. airport or book an overnight stay before reaching your destination.

“With financially protected flights and holiday packages, we take the stress out of booking a holiday.

“We have also personally reviewed our destinations, accommodation and facilities, which means we can give honest feedback and advice.

“We’ve been delighted to offer direct flights and holidays to Islanders since 2022 and by next year we expect to have carried the equivalent of a quarter of the population.”

Flights are on sale today (23 September).

Mark Beveridge, Airport Director at Isle of Man Airport, added: “We know how much our passengers value being able to fly straight from the Island to the sunshine and these three destinations have proved really popular.

“It’s great to be working with C.I. Travel and FlyDirect again to make these direct holiday options possible.

“We’re looking forward to another busy summer and to seeing lots of Manx passengers starting their holidays with us here at Isle of Man Airport.”

All flights will be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline BA CityFlyer - a subsidiary of British Airways - using an Embraer 190 jet aircraft.

Flights will depart on Saturdays with the first flight from the Isle of Man to Palma on 1 May.

The final flight of the summer will be on 30 October from Malaga to the Isle of Man.

FlyDirect Summer programme 2027:

• Isle of Man to Palma 1 May – 2 October
• Isle of Man to Faro 8 May – 7 August
• Isle of Man to Malaga 2-30 October

FlyDirect also operates direct flights from Isle of Man to Tenerife in October, early November and between Christmas and Easter 2027.
