Island facing similar problems to UK
More Islanders need food parcels than ever before.
Certainly, that’s the indication of the latest figures from the Isle of Man Foodbank charity.
Demand rose by more than 50 per cent locally in July and August with 80 parcels handed out compared to under 40 in 2016.
Volunteer Gareth Price says the Island is not immune to problems facing many parts of the UK.
