DOI removing race equipment
The Mountain Road will close again later this month whilst the Department of Infrastructure removes remaining Manx Grand Prix course equipment.
It will shut from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 September to complete the task.
The closure will be in place from Barrule Park, Ramsey, to Creg Ny Baa.
The DOI says removal of race equipment from the Mountain section of the TT Course at the end of the Island’s road race season generally takes three to four days to complete, and the majority of equipment was removed in the two daytime closures earlier this week.
It confirmed that the main course contractor 'is confident that the remainder of the equipment can be recovered on the Monday', with the Tuesday relegated to an alternative date in the event of poor weather such as heavy mist precluding activities on the first date.
