British Heart Foundation says 630,000 people have a faulty gene
More must to be done on the Isle of Man to treat and raise awareness for undiagnosed heart defects.
That's according to Paula Lunt, who set up Craig's Heartstrong Foundation after her son Craig tragically died in April 2005 due to a previously undiagnosed heart defect.
The charity is inviting young people between the ages of 14 and 35 to sign up online for free heart screenings, taking place on the 13th and 14th of May.
The British Heart Foundation warned that 630,000 people have a faulty gene which could lead to sudden death or heart disease, and most are unaware.
Paula says the warning was shocking to hear but the findings weren't unexpected:
