DoI to shut routes during amber weather warning
Emergency road closures will be enforced by the Department of Infrastructure ahead of expected bad weather later.
Queens Promenade in Ramsey and Laxey Promenade will be closed between 1am and 5am tomorrow (Friday, 23 August).
From 11pm tonight, to approximately 5am tomorrow, a further closure will be enforced along the length of West Quay in Ramsey from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Bowring Road.
There'll also be restrictions between Port Jack in Onchan along the lengths of Queens and Central Promenades in Douglas between 1am and 5am.
Between the same time period The Promenade in Castletown, between the junction with Shore Road and King Williams College, will also be shut.
Shore Road in Gansey, from the bottom of Fishers Hill to the junction with Beach Road/Castletown Road, will also be closed between 1am and 5am.
An amber weather warning for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding will come in at 12.01am.
It's expected to be relaxed at 4.30am.
