Motorists are being warned that the Main Road in Onchan is due to close today (Thurs 27th) to allow the next phase of refurbishment work in the village to get underway.
The road will close between the Summerhill Road and Avondale Road junctions at 10am.
Works are expected to take up to five and a half weeks.
The closure will mean several bus services will have to be diverted.
These include services 1 and 2 which will divert from the top of Summerhill Road via Governor's Bridge and Bemahague Road. The diverted services will only serve the Governor's Road stops at Coutts House/Queen's Road junction on this route.
Services 11, 12 and 12A are unaffected by the closure.
Full details of the diverted services can be seen at www.iombusandrail.info
