Southern section to be resurfaced
Around £50,000 is going to be spent on the temporary resurfacing of the southern end of Douglas promenade.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed it's going to carry out the work ahead of the new horse tram season, which starts in April.
Similar was done to the northern end of the prom in November last year.
The money will come out of the DoI's revenue budget.
The department says further information about the roadworks, including details of any traffic lights and parking restrictions required, will be released later this month.
This project will be done while plans for the full redevelopment of the prom are drawn up, and planning and financial approval is sought.
