Fund set up due to rising cost of living
Grants worth more than £47,000 have been distributed from the Manx Lottery Trust's Community Warm Spaces Fund since October.
The programme is scheduled to run until the end of March and is open to a range of community organisations including charities, churches and local authorities looking to provide safe, warm and welcoming spaces for the community throughout the Winter period.
Grants are available from between £300 and £2,500.
The fund was set up in reaction to sharp rises in the cost of living - particularly home energy costs.
The maximum grant available is aimed at applicants with multiple spaces to heat over the Winter period.
Application for grant assistance can be made through the Manx Lottery Trust website.
Funding has been used to facilitate regular community events at warm space venues around the Island and cover the costs of warm items such as blankets and coats, energy bills, hot refreshments, activities and venue hire.kicking-off at 6pm.
