Minister says giving out LFT's at ports 'would make sense'
It will take more time to get a better understanding of the new Omicron Covid-19 variant, according to the Health Minister:
Lawrie Hooper spoke to Manx Radio after the Isle of Man moved to Alert Level 2 yesterday evening (28 November) in response to the new strain.
From Tuesday, face coverings will be mandatory on public transport and in health settings, and expected in many indoor settings.
Those coming to the Isle of Man from the common travel area will have to take a lateral flow test within 12 hours of arrival.
Mr Hooper says LFT supplies locally are good, and says there's logic behind potentially handing them out at Manx ports in future:
